Geu-Ru Hong

 

 

 

Dr Geu-Ru Hong is a Professor at the division of Cardiology of Yonsei University, College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea.

He graduated from the Yeungnam University Medical College, Daegu, Korea in 1992 as a medical doctor. He obtained a Ph.D, in Doctor of Medicine (Cardiovascular Medicine) from Yeungnam University in 2002.

He has a sub-speciality board certification in cardiology. He was a post-doctoral as a researcher in Ohio State University, Columbus, in the USA. He was a clinical research fellow at the University of California, Irvine, CA, in the USA.

Perviously, he was appointed the Associate Professor of Medicine at the Yeungnam University at Daegu from 2003-2012. Since 2012, he is the Professor at the Yonsei University.

Currently he is serving as director of planning for Korean Society of echocardiography (KSE), secretary of general for Asia-pacific Association of Echocardiography (AAE) and director of public relations for Korean Society of Cardiology (KSC).

His research was focused on echocardiography and cardiac imaging include contrast echo, vortex flow, 3D Echo, interventional imaging for structural heart disease.
