MB ChB, PhD, FACC Dr Fung is an academic cardiologist and physician-scientist with a research interest in heart failure, cardiorespiratory fitness and inflammation. After graduating from the CUHK Faculty of Medicine, Hong Kong and completing a year of rotating internship in the university teaching hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, he went on to complete a PhD study in Medical Genetics (immunogenetics) at University of Cambridge, England. After his research studies, he resumed clinical training and completed an internal medicine residency at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, a cardiovascular disease (cardiology) fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire, and an advanced fellowship in heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and transplant cardiology at Keck Hospital of University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA. Dr Fung is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the National Board of Echocardiography, and the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology. |
